“If it’s protein, I can eat all I want.”
Ever heard or thought that?
Most people believe this due to the fact that the body has limited capacity to store protein. So, the thought is that any extra gets “flushed” out of the system.
While being processed a portion of the protein (the nitrogen group) is flushed out. However, the carbon group is converted to glucose or fat depending on the needs of your body at the time. This means that it ends up being used just like Fat and Carbs.
Remember the old saying if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? Same holds true for health and wellness. So, make sure your getting in those veggies,, at least 1/2 is your plate!
